If you have been watching this season of Dragons Den then you may have seen some of our folders used as part of an outstanding pitch to the dragons by YogaBellies® founder Cheryl MacDonald, with her husband Michael.
Their business acumen and personalities combined with a fantastic idea helped them to secure £50,000 worth of investment from the well know business star and longtime Dragon, Duncan Bannatyne.
The pitch ended with a brilliant piece of negotiation to seal the deal with Duncan receiving a 35% equity stake which will drop to 20% once his money is made back on the venture.
YogaBellies provides authentic yoga classes for women and children which allow them to enjoy all the benefits of yoga in a welcoming and safe environment. They have been growing their franchise for just over two years and have achieved amazing success with over 60 trained instructors in a number of countries around the world.
Individuals, mainly women, invest in training provided by the business which enables them to run a flexible, fun, and ethical business that helps to improve their mental and physical well being as well as giving them the opportunity to help other women.
The presentation folders have been used primarily to provide welcome packs and information to franchisees. However, due to the flexible nature of the folders they have also been used to help promote the business and, as you see here, secure investment.
If you watch this clip of their pitch you will see Peter Jones turning the pages of the folder while he scrutinises the businesses figures.
